This is a UNESCO report that says in part, "Major efforts are needed to make high-quality adult learning and education a reality worldwide." It also says, "...fewer than 5per cent of adults aged 15 and above participate in education and learning programmes." As an educator and avid reader, I feel privileged to be able be able to have the choice to participate in a number of programs to further my education on a variety of topics. I also see the need for more to be done for others in this area worldwide.
