Places visited
Rachel, Jon, and I spent a day at the Bronx Zoo. We had a great time looking at the animals and plants. On the way home we stopped at Hacienda de Don Manuel in Suffern, New York. It was a great place to eat! We got guacamole which was made fresh at our table. After we ate, we shared a desert.
The next day, we went to Rocky Ridge Alpacas in Chester, New York. The alpacas were cute and we got an informative tour. The weather was beautiful both days.
On the way home from the dentist, my mother and I stopped at Allan's Falafel Cafe in Chester, New York, one of my favorite places to eat. My mother enjoyed the decor of the restaurant and the kindness of the waitress. It was an enjoyable place to relax after a dentist appointment.
Another evening my mother and I stopped at Alexis Diner in Newburgh, New York on our way home from the dentist. We both thought the food was delicious and the waitstaff were very friendly.
On our third dentist trip, my mother and I stopped at Commodore Chocolatier in Newburgh, New York. They make their own chocolate in the store next door. For a small store, there were a good variety of chocolates to choose from and many cute designs.
We then ate lunch at the New Windsor (NY) Coach Diner. My mother loves diners so it was a great experience!
Brian, Bea, Noah and I got to spend the morning at the Philadelphia Zoo. The weather was perfect, the animals were especially active, and we got to spend a lovely time together!
On our way home from the fourth, and last regular, dental appointment, my mother and I stopped at the Goshen Diner in Goshen, New York, for a bowl of soup. It came quickly as was delicious!
On a different note, this is the month that I had shingles. They are quite painful and even though I had the shingles vaccine shot I still still got them. However, they did not last near as long as the doctor's expected and that probably was because I had gotten the shot.
