Places Visited
I spent a couple of days with Taran, Rachel, and Jon. Taran is learning things, both physical, verbal, and mentally very quickly now. I went with Taran and Rachel to the Guilderland story time, always a treat for us all! The three of us also took a walk and I got to read and play with Taran!
I also met Brian, Bea and Noah at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. We looked at many of the exhibits there, especially the dinosaurs. From there we walked took the subway to Times Square where we ate lunch at the Olive Garden, followed by a visit to the M&M and Lego stores. It was a great, if rainy, day!
I spent another couple of days with Taran. What a happy boy! Besides playing at his house, we went to Storytime at the Voorheesville library which we both enjoyed very much!
On that same trip, Derek and I went to a three doctors and got his hair cut. I love to see him and to hear that at least one of the doctors thinks his healing is progressing "phenomenally."
Another weekend I got to spend time with Noah. He read to me, played the song he is practicing on the piano with the title "Grandmother", and we played board games. We also played outside with his dad and watched Lego shows as well as played with Legos. We shopped a little and read books. Rain by Sam Usher was a favorite. We had a wonderful time!
I got to see Derek for three mornings but unfortunately, we spent most of the time going to the doctor. While I was happy to see him, we are both looking forward to him being well.
