Places Visited
My mother, Rachel and I flew to the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We went for the VanValkenburg Reunion and visited a lot of wonderful places. We stayed at the Clarion Chattanooga. Rachel and I took the self-guided walking tour of the Bluff View Art District. We all walked through the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. and had dinner on the riverboat, Southern Belle. Rachel and I rode up Lookout Mountain, Tennessee on the Incline Railway, the world's steepest passenger incline and walked through Ruby Falls, Rock City Gardens and Raccoon Mountain Caverns. We all also toured the Tennessee Aquarium where the special exhibit was seahorses. While we were there we watched the IMAX show Space Station 3D. We went to a Chattanooga Lookouts ball game with the Mobile Bay Bears. We rested in Coolidge Park, overlooking the Tennessee River, on Chattanooga's Northshore where we watched the carousel and the interactive fountain in Coolidge Park, strolled on the world's longest pedestrian bridge. Rachel and I had a sub at the Yellow Submarine and then we all ate an ice cream cone with homemade ice cream. We all rode on the Chattanooga Ducks, a WWII amphibious landing vehicle which started out on land, went into the river for a tour, and came back on land to tour Chattanooga.
I went with some relatives to Oswego, New York.
