Places Visited
I was able to take two walks on the Heritage Trail in Chester, NY and a walk in the town of Monroe, NY on beautiful fall afternoons.
Derek and I spent two mornings going to doctors and received good and not so good news. However, in general his body is still mending and there is a solution to new problems as they arise. As always it was great to see him!
I attended an interview with Bill Bryson on Zoom, something that I had wanted to do for some time and I enjoyed it very much! He mainly talked about his latest book, The Body: A Guide for Occupants. It was sponsored by my local library.
Brian, Bea, Noah and I met at Hopatcong State Park in New Jersey where we enjoyed looking at the beautiful fall colors around the lake. We took several of the walks and saw where the locks for a canal had been at the turn of the century. This is the largest lake in New Jersey and the canal went across the state to the Hudson River. Next we went to aruthur R. Ondish Memorial Beach in Mt. Arlington, NJ which was a small but beautiful beach, park and boat dock. We had a delicious lunch at Patrick's Pub and then took a walk around Maxim Glen park. It was a lovely park and had a playground for Noah. It was a wonderful day and best of all I got to spend time with them!
Noah invited me to the Halloween Presentation event at his school. I enjoyed it very much and everyone did a great job of presenting, especially Noah! The presentations were outside on a beautiful fall day.
Before the presentations, Bea made a delicious lunch for Brian and I and after the presentations, Noah showed me some of the things he has made and told me about what he has been doing. It was a great day!
