Books to read
Golden Boy by Tara Sullivan is a realistic fiction book based on facts about growing up with albinism in Tanzania. Habo is a thirteen-year-old albino boy living near Lake Victoria. Especially in that region, albinos are murdered because their body parts are thought to bring good luck. The killing of elephants in the area is also part of the story. This is a riviting story that I highly recommend for students in middle school and older.
