Places visited
I visited Derek three times and, although it was still for doctor's visits, I was pleased to see how much he is improving. We had a great time visiting and watching a show at his place. We were able to eat a Wendy's and Burger King meal. The trees were beautiful making the drive especially enjoyable.
I also visited Derek an extra time when my car broke down on my way there and I was required to get a new one. Thankfully, everything worked out with the help of many people and I am now the proud owner of a brand new car! I do miss my old car since we became friends over the last 16 years/345,000 miles but I do enjoy all the features on my new car.
As a special treat, I was invited to attend Noah's first piano recital! He did a marvelous job of playing two songs with feeling and confidence. I enjoyed the entire recital and also visiting with Brian, Bea, and her mother. In addition to the recital, we played games, were able to talk with each other in person, and had a delicious lunch. It was a great day!
Derek and I met Rachel and Taran in a park in Schenectady, New York on morning. We had a great time talking, playing with Taran on the slides, walking and eating cupcakes. Taran is a fun boy to be with and, of course, I always like to talk with Rachel and Derek!
