Places Visited
Derek and I went to Oswego, NY.
My mother and I went to visit Rachel in Hoboken, New Jersey. We walked around downtown Hoboken and had pizza at Imposto's.
Derek and I went to a Book Avenue in Middletown, New York. We also shopped at other stores in the area.
I went to see author and photographer Ira Rosen who conducted a sight and sound presentation of America's baseball stadiums in a program at the Middletown Thrall Library, 11-19 Depot Street Middletown, NY. Mr. Rosen is the author of Blue Skies, Green Fields: A Celebration of 50 Major League Baseball Stadiums. He has traveled the country photographing every baseball stadium in the United States.
My whole family and I went to the Steven's Institute of Technology graduation to see Rachel graduate with her Bachelor's and Master's degree. She received four awards for her work at Steven's; Eastern College Athletic Association Medal of Merit (given to the member of the senior class who has the highest GPA and who has excelled in athletics during his or her years at Stevens), Eastern College Athletic Conference Robbins Scholar Athlete Award (given to two members of the senior class who have excelled in academics and athletics in his or her four years at Stevens), The Fezandie Memorial Award (given to the two graduating seniors who have attained the best record throughout the junior and senior years in the sequence of courses given by the Mechanical Engineering department), and the Arthur J. Grymes, Jr. Book Award (awarded to the senior who demonstrates the greatest interest or proficiency in fluid dynamics). After graduation we went to Arthur's Tavern, 237 Washington Street, Hoboken, N.J. for lunch with some of her friends.
My whole family went to Tom's River, New Jersey where we ate at the Hana Japanese Restaurant. Then we went on to Seaside Park, New Jersey and walked on the boardwalk.
Derek and I went to Kwon's Karate Studio and a craft fair in Manhasset, NY.
