Places Visited
Before seeing Noah at a swimming class with Brian and Bea, where Noah is doing great at learning new swimming strokes, Noah showed me what he has gotten new since the last time I visited. After the swimming class, we had a delicious lunch at their home and then took a walk in a nearby park. It was a very lovely day!
One day, I also heard Noah give a speech at the Chinese School of South Jersey. He did an excellent job! Noah, his father and I had a delicious lunch at their home, played a card game, and talked. It was a great day.
Brian, Noah and I went to the U-Pick Tulips event at the Holland Ridge Farms. The tulips were beautiful and the weather was perfect. We had a wonderful time walking among the gardens and talking. Noah and I also played a board game and card games. It was a great day!
My neighbor came over with a cake she made from a recipe passed down through her family. We had a very nice visit.
I drove to Newark liberty International Airport by way of New Jersey. It was a fine trip and I got to have a visit with relatives on the way. I also did the journey in reverse a week later and was able to talk with them again. It was wonderful to see them!
On a beautiful spring day, Brian, Noah and I met at Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange, New Jersey. We got in for free using my National Park Pass and had a great time looking around at the buildings. We got to hear a couple of Ranger talks which are always informative. Noah did the work to become a Junior Park Ranger. He was sworn in and also got a Junior Park Ranger badge and pin. We next went to the Glenmont, which was Edison's home in West Orange. The buildings were closed except for the Garage where we could see some of the cars, mostly electric, that were there. Before we left, we ate at Americana Diner in West Orange. The meal was great and we had time to talk a little more before going home. It was a marvelous day!
