Places Visited
I went with Derek to Rachel and Jon's home to decorate Christmas cookies. It was a lot of fun!
I also stayed with Brian, Bea, Noah and Bea's mother for a night. I got to help pick Noah up from his nicely decorated school, then on to a guided costumed tour of "It's a Dickens Christmas" at the Smithville Mansion village in in Burlington County, New Jersey. It was very nicely done and seeing the lights, the buildings, and the costumes as well as hearing the story of Smithville and the reading of a Christmas story while drinking hot chocolate was wonderful. After the tour we went to IHop, one of Noah's favorite restaurants.
The next morning, Brian, Noah and I visited the wonderful Mount Laurel Library and the nearby Mount Laurel Animal Farm where Noah was able to feed Cheerios to the pigs, ducks, chickens, longhorns, and many other animals at the veterinarians. I was amazed to see so many animals up close! It was a great weekend.
I went to Guilderland, New York and Derek came home with me. We stopped at the Saugerties Diner in Saugerties, New York for a delicious lunch.
Derek and I took my mother to Pizza Hut in Goshen, New York which we all enjoyed.
Derek and I also went to the Cocktal Hour and Holiday Dinner with my mother at Glen Arden. We had a marvelous time and everyone working in the Enriched Housing Unit did a marvelous job making it a joyful evening.
Derek was home for a couple of days and then we went back to Guilderland, New York. We had lunch at Wendy's in Colonie, New York after doing a few errands.
While I was in the area, I visited Rachel and Jon for a little bit. I loved seeing them!
I drove to Guilderland, New York to see Derek and he came home with me. On the way home we stopped at King's Pizza in Kingston, New York. It was a great place to eat! We shared a pizza and it was delicious.
My children and their families came home for Christmas/New Years and we had a great time!
While they were home, Brian, Bea, Noah, Bea's mother, Derek and I also had a delicious lunch and entertainment at Gasho of Japan in Central Valley, New York.
