I went to the Warwick (NY) Children's Book Festival. It was great! I had just parked my car when the headless horseman road past on his horse. That was unexpected! I then walked to the festival with seventy authors and illustrators of books for grades Pre-K to 12. It was nice to be able to see and talk with them about their books. I could also hear the children's concert by The Uncle Brothers. On the way back to my car I stopped at a Greek restaurant for a falafel and Greek fries. It was a wonderful fall day with colorful leaves on my drive to and from Warwick.
After each of five doctor's and dentist's appointments, Derek and I took drives in the Troy and Saratoga Springs, New York area and looked at the beautiful fall leaves. I am happy to see that he continues to heal.
I also was able to spend an great afternoon with Rachel and Taran at their home. It's hard to believe how much he is learning and how independent he is becoming! It was great to see them.
