Places Visited
I was able to visit Derek on four days this month. Although they were for follow-up doctor's appointments, It was great to see him and to see how much he continues to heal. We were even able to go shopping on one of the days!
Brian, Bea, Noah and I met at the Paterson great falls National Historical Park in Paterson, New Jersey. We enjoyed the walk around the park viewing the waterfalls. I had wanted to go there for years and was happy to be able to see the park. We then went to American Dream, the giant mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It was another place that I had heard about and driven by but had not gone in to see what it was like. I appreciated being able to see it. Lastly, we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch which was delicious. It was wonderful to see them, the weather was perfect, and I got to see things that I would not have done otherwise!
This month I also got to go to Noah's piano recital! He did a wonderful job and I enjoyed it very much. I went with Brian, Bea and her mother. Before we left for the recital we had a delicious lunch of baked ziti. On the way home we stopped to get a snow cone. It was wonderful to visit with them and see what they have been doing.
This month I walked twice on the Heritage Trail. I began in Goshen, New York, and walked toward Chester both times.
Rachel, Taran, and a friend met at the VIA Aquarium in the Rotterdam Mall in Schenectady, NY. We had a great time viewing the exhibits in the aquarium. We then went to 99 Restaurant and Pub, also in the mall, for a delicious lunch. Lastly, we enjoyed walking through VIA Dino Discovery in the mall. It was wonderful to see them and be able to talk to them for the afternoon!
