Places Visited
I was fortunate to be asked to go with Brian and Noah to Dutch Wonderland: A Kingdom for Kids: https://www.dutchwonderland.com/ in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We went on many of the rides and generally got to look around the park. Before going to the Hilton Garden Inn for a nap we stopped to get food for lunch and dinner at Darrenkamps grocery store right across from the hotel. After resting, we went back to Dutch Wonderland and stayed until they closed at 8:30. It was an exciting day with thrilling rides, especially for Noah, who went on rides like the Wonder Whip, Frog Hopper, and Leapin'Frogs. We all went on rides like the Monorail, Dragon's Lair, VR Voyager, Wonderland Special, and Sky Ride. Brian and Noah also rode on the Joust Family Coaster. Noah played in the Dino Dig. We even went to Storytime with Princess Brooke and heard her read the book Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. We also "Adventures of the Frog Prince" with a story line that included three men diving from high diving boards.
The next day, we went to the Strasburg Rail Railroad in East Strasburg Station, Pennsylvania to see Thomas, Percy and friends. We go to ride behind Thomas and Percy plus a ride on the Pufferbelly train and a trolley. Noah got a temporary Thomas tattoo and was able to play in the Imagination Station with table of toy Thomas trains.
The weather was perfect and we had a marvelous time!
Later in the month, I also went to visit Noah will his parents were working. Both of his grandmothers took him to a park and we played trains, in the sandbox, and other games at his house.
After a short visit at home, I went back to the Philadelphia area to go with Noah, Bea, and her mother to the Camden Aquarium, the Asian Market, and Noah's school picnic. We played soccer and tennis plus talked to people and ate. The weather was perfect and I had a great time with everyone!
At the end of the month I went to Albany to visit Derek and he came home for a couple of days. We visited my mother in Goshen, worked around the house and took nice walks in the cool, damp fall weather.
