Places Visited
A relative and I walked around the lakes in Monroe, New York, then took my mother out to eat at Outback.
Rachel and I went on a seven mile, three-bridges walk in New York City. We took the Shortline bus into Penn Station. From there we walked to Queensboro Bridge and crossed it. The view was wonderful and there were workers cleaning/fixing the cables for the Roosevelt Island Tramway .
We left the bridge in Long Island City. From there we walked to the Pulaski Bridge. It is shakes, by design, when big trucks pass over it.
The last bridge we crossed was the Williamsburg Bridge. To get there we walked past a Titanic Museum and area of defunct factories and rising condos. There was a lot of construction going on, especially considering it was a Saturday.
The Williamsburg Bridge has a large walking/biking bridge of its own. It was impressive.
When we left the Williamsburg Bridge, we ate at the Kampuchea Restaurant, the only Cambodian Restaurant in the city.
