While this article was written for college instructors when labs are closed, I think the authors' ideas will be applicable in a number of situations in the K-12 classroom. There are times when going outside of the classroom is not feasible for the entire class or certain members of the class yet it is important for students to have hands-on experience. These ideas would be especially helpful in project-based learning classrooms.
