Places visited
I made a trip to Goshen, Chester, and Monroe, New York, for personal and medical reasons. All went fine and I even got to stop at the Subway in Monroe for a delicious sandwich.
Brian and Noah came for a weekend visit. We played board games, talked, ate, and went to Hildene, the home of Robert Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's son, in Manchester Center, Vermont. It was a very interesting house to visit, and we learned a lot from the terrific guides. We walked around the grounds, including a visit to the Pullman railcar "Sunbeam" where an informative guide told us about the details of the luxury car. It was a wonderful visit. We had a delicious lunch at Christos' Pizza and Pasta restaurant in Manchester Center.
The last day their visit, we went to Olive Garden in Colonie, New York for lunch with Rachel, Jon, Taran and Taran's friend. It was wonderful to see them all and to be able to have a relaxed visit with good food. I loved seeing everyone. It was a marvelous weekend!
Books read
A Useless Man by Sait Faik Absiyanik
Castle Shade by Laurie R. King
Winter's Gift by Ben Aaronovitch
Their Monstrous Hearts by Yigit Turhan
The Lantern's Dance by Laurie R. King
