Project Linus: http://www.projectlinus.org is a 100% volunteer organization founded in 1995 with over 300 chapters, in the US and internationally, that encourages people to knit, crochet or quilt blankets which are then given to children suffering serious trauma or illness. The late Charles Schultz, creator of Peanuts, approved using his famous Linus character to help promote this effort. To date, over 300,000 blankets have been donated.
