Video Editing with Movie Maker

This is a page that I have prepared for a video editing course as part of the Summer FUNdamentals program at Bishop Dunn Memorial School from June 27-July 14. 2006.

Tuesday, June 27; Wednesday, June 28; Thursday, June 29

Group O -
Tuesday: Divide into three groups. Take the cameras outside and practice taking pictures. Download images from camera into Movie Maker into 6-8 morning (or afternoon) folder on desktop. Name it "June 27 morning (or afternoon) O1 (or 2 or 3)".
Wednesday: Open Movie Maker. Choose Import Video. Choose your downloaded video. Make sure that "Create Clips from Video Files" is checked. Choose import. Begin to edit the videos, adding titles and transitions.
Thursday: Continue to edit the videos you took. If time, go to United Streaming site: http://www.unitedstreaming.com/index.cfm (ask me for the password) and look at some of the videos. Choose a topic that you might want to make your final video about and choose three videos that you might use to enhance the videos you took. Download the three videos to your folder.

Group M -
Tuesday: View the video at: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/videos/create.mspx
Read and practice with editing with the videos in Movie Maker.
